Flog (or for those who play, Golf)

Flog. What a great anagram. It's also one of those onomatopoeiac words that sounds like the action - which is how I play(ed). A friend of mine made that little funny up a few years back when we were hitting small white balls with metal sticks. At the time, we didn't really have a 'grasp' of the game so to speak. But now that I'm a Realtor, everyone expects me to play the game! After all, aren't we like doctors? Apparently we make tons of money and have lots of spare time. That's a myth, but nevertheless I did take the game up more seriously this year by embarking on a few lessons. It's remarkable how getting instruction in anything can improve your skill. Ha. I usually like to delve into things pretending I know how to do it/play the game/program the DVD/solve the crime. I won't say my game is great, but it's certainly improved. For anyone reaching that 'middle age' spell in their life where tennis, jogging and squash are taking its toll on your aging bod, I recommend the game of flog. I'll start calling it golf when I am better at it.
Until then....FORE! Or as Mary, Colleen and I like to say....SDF!
